aka-aki networks GmbH as a company emerged from a thesis project  of the founders at the Berlin University of the Arts. The aka-aki community was launched in April 2008. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people got into it. And more are joining every day! Today more than 20 mobile experts are working in the Berlin offices on improving the service, developing and marketing new products.
